About the event
SAKACHEZ® Mission Statement Empowering the next generation of BIPOC musical theater artists with transformative training and mentorship. Lifting theater artists of color, highlighting AAPI and Latine stories. • Education - Dance, vocal, acting, audition training along with community building and mentorship for the specific needs of emerging BIPOC performing artists navigating the musical theater industry. • New Work Development - Creating and producing new work highlighting AAPI and Latine voices led by creatives and producers of color.
ALL DANCERS WELCOME to take SAKACHEZ® classes. Alex Sanchez and Lainie Sakakura have have an expansive professional career and 30 years teaching experience. Great dance training was key to both of their Broadway careers. They know first hand how challenging and expensive it is to keep up consistent training but necessary for a dancer's success and longevity. Alex and Lainie are grateful they can sponsor a free SAKACHEZ® theater jazz class on December 16th.…
